Membership of Mel's Milers costs £15 annually and runs from 1st April each year. Membership cards will be issued around the end of April.
New members may join at other times throughout the year, with reduced rate after 1st October. New members will receive a club t-shirt on joining.
All members benefit from the arrangement with Bluecoat Sports at Christs Hospital, allowing them to use it as a running base with use of the car park, changing, showering and cafe facilities on any day of the week.
Additionally members will receive a 10% discount on all purchases at 'Tortoise and Hare' running shop at Smithbrook Kilns near Cranleigh, and 10% on purchases of over £25 at 'Up and Running' in Horsham.
An increase in membership cost for 2007 is due to the higher fees involved in joining England Athletics. For this members will receive an individual membership card from England Athletics which will provide insurance cover and affiliation to UK Athletics with reduced race entry fees. It will also mean that the club continues to be eligible for an allocation of London marathon places each year.
